
Dr. Hendrix was born and raised in Franklin, Virginia and attended Woodberry Forest School in Orange during his high school years. He then obtained his undergraduate degree at Davidson College in North Carolina and proceeded to medical school in Chapel Hill at the University of North Carolina. As a fellow in Dermatology Research at UNC, Dr. Hendrix earned the Upjohn Dermatology Research Award. He then went through internship at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond. His dermatology residency and dermatologic Mohs fellowship were completed at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville. In the last year of his fellowship, Dr. Hendrix's work was recognized by the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery Young Investigator Award.
Dr. Hendrix has multiple interests, his favorites of which include spending time with his wife, Sylvia, and two children, Erin and Logan. He also enjoys playing basketball every Sunday.
